Welcome! My 2017 theme is UnSimply She Fiction. Each post begins with a simple sentence about a She. This fictional She is anything but simple. She may be dark. She may be funny. You may relate to her. You many not like her at all…She is revealing her truth.
She is the Lemon Lime Liar.
She is guilty of the crime.
Damn, the Lemon-Lime.
Lemon-Lime is part of her the cover. The Lemon-Lime is part of something bigger. She is the Lemon-Lime-Liar living in the land of Lemon-Lime-Liars.
The crime begins when she joins them for lunch. It’s at that place they always go. They study the menu, but they always know…
“I will have a salad, hold the cheese, hold the crunchy stuff, hold the fun…”
“Just bring me some lettuce.”
“I have been eating all morning….”
They all say, all together now, “Water with Lemon-Lime.”
After they order, a triumphant haze settles over the table. Or, is it hunger? They will never know, or tell.
Then the air becomes toxic. They talk about “This and That” and “That and This”
Later that evening she flavors her tequila with lime. She opens up her laptop and writes about all the “This and That’s” and “That’s and This’s”.
The names would change. The stories were rich enough with empty reading fluff.
Yes, this would sell. She takes a satisfying, bitter sip.
She types the next chapter, entitled, “Toxic Salad” from The Chronicles of the Lemon-Lime-Liar.
