A to Z Challenge 2017

Glorious Life

Welcome! My 2017 theme is UnSimply She Fiction. Each post begins with a simple sentence about a She. This fictional She is anything but simple. She may be dark. She may be funny. You may relate to her. You many not like her at all…She is revealing her truth.

She thought life was glorious.

Well, not all the time. Sometimes the glitter of glory was a stingy sprinkle. Nevertheless, she savored the moments of the glorious gift of glory. Sometimes she was amazed by what she considered glorious.

She defined a glorious day when she had a moment to herself, a moment to observe her own life: her children hugging, her husband smiling. She feared that her glorious life would forever be tarnished  by Her. A letter came from Her the other day. She would not allow that woman back in their lives. Her husband’s mother. Yes, it should be his choice. Instead, she decided to put the letter in her nightstand drawer. It seemed less evil than throwing it out, or burning it.

She played a major part in the demise of the relationship. She lied. One lie turned into another. The things his mother said, she actually said.  She cried. She played the victim. She had to win. She was too cowardly to admit it. She was a good actress. She knew it was a matter of time. She would go down in a blaze of glory because of Her.
